We make our wire from double spun multi-core copper cable coated in silver, each core is made of hundreds of twisted copper filaments. This gives the wire greater flexibility and increases its life. The connections in the two pin plug are soldered and then the whole thing is covered in a flexible clear plastic outer. This keeps water out and resistance as low as possible.

"I have been using the 2 pin Leon Paul over moulded plug for a while and can say that this model of body wire is more durable than ever before. This is because the moulded 2 pin socket prevents sweat from entering into the wire which causes corrosion. Traditionally, the most common place for this to occur in a body wire was at the 2-pin housing. It would also corrode the two pins themselves which made re-terminating the wire problematic. The new design has solved this by being impermeable to sweat. Also, the added plastic on the lead up to the 2-pin mould is useful because it provides reinforcement and prevents the metal from fatiguing."
