As part of an ongoing effort to raise awareness and participation in sports the Science Museum have put on a fantastic exhibition called “Science of Sport”. This will be on until September 2004 and as a showcase sport Fencing has been on display there for 2 weeks. The display has been organised by British fencing who have teams of fencers competing in events there every day for the whole duration.

There is an impressive Leon Paul piste and scoring system for them to use and the display is noisy, visually impressive and great fun to watch. Most of the day there is a sizable crowd watching and it has been a great chance to showcase fencing to a huge audience. The display has been met with great interest and the fencers have all had fantastic fun in the process.

This is the perfect excuse to visit the Science museum and the display.
