Making A Purchase
Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy then put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selections, click on "Check Out" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to despatch the order.
Your card will be charged at the time you place your order. We accept all major cards except Diners Club and American Express. If you are shopping from outside the UK, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to Pounds Sterling from your own currency.
Whilst we do our best to ensure that all photographs on our website are correct and up to date sometimes there are small discrepancies. As such the photos used on our websites should be considered a guide and may not be 100% identical to the item you receive.
At checkout you have the option to create a customer account on the Leon Paul website; however you do not need to create a customer account to checkout. Leon Paul customer account only store your address details and does not offer any discounted pricing. Currently no order details are stored online so please email email@example.com to check the status of an order.
If you are ordering from Brazil, Argentina or Chile, please be aware that orders can take upwards or eigth weeks to arrive.
Due to problems with customs procedures in the following countries we are no longer able to ship via our website, if you wish to order please email firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.

Shipping And Handling
The weight of your order is automatically calculated and the shipping charge is worked out based on the destination.
Orders with blades, weapons or masks are too bulky to be sent via packet post either in the UK or abroad. Unfortunately we are still getting orders containing these items where packet post has been selected as the shipping method and the customer has been seriously undercharged for shipping. For any orders where this has occurred the shipping method will be altered and the relevant increase in the cost of post and packing will be charged automatically.
If for any reason the package arrives damaged please check the contents before you sign for the item. Once you sign for the item you are agreeing that you have recieved the package in good condition and we are then unable to claim from the shipping company if items have become lost in transit.
If a parcel arrives and is damaged or opened please check the contents of the parcel before you accept it. Leon Paul can not take responsibility if part of a package is missing once it has been signed for by the customer.
If goods are in stock we will despatch them in 1 - 3 working days for orders to be delivered to a UK address. For export orders which entail considerably more paperwork and longer transport times delivery may take longer. We do our very best to ensure that your order is despatched as soon as possible and as such you may find that while some orders arrive the next working days others will take longer.
We only have relatively small stocks of certain specialised items such as coloured lames, coloured and vision 2000 masks, FIE clothing etc... if these are not in stock they will be made to order and will take longer to arrive than standard stock items.
You will be sent an email notifying you when your order has been despatched. This email will include tracking information if you selected the delivery options "Parcel Force" or "International Air Freight". Packet post is a budget shipping option and as such is untracked Royal Mail First Class Post. Customers from the UK who select this option should expect their parcel in 1 - 3 working days and Export customers using this service will recieve their parcel in 3 - 10 working days. Occasionally parcels can take up to 28 days according to your country.
Please note, orders placed between 2pm GMT on Friday and 8am on Monday will not ship until Monday at 5pm at the earliest as we are closed on weekends.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you and it will be sent as soon as it is ready.
VAT (Value Added Tax) is applicable for all orders delivered to countries within the EU this is charged at a rate of 20%.
Due to the fact that a large portion of our internet orders are for export prices are shown without VAT and with VAT in Pounds Sterling. All orders to be delivered outside the EU including the orders to the US, Canada, Australia Etc... are VAT free. VAT will be automatically deducted from your order when you select your shipping destination during checkout. If you are ordering from outside the EU then you may be charged tax by your own government, usually this is at a rate of about 5%. For orders to the USA under $1000 no tax will be charged. For orders to Australia anything over 500 AUD will be charged import tax by the Australian government.
If you do not wish to be charged tax it is your own responsability to ensure that you keep your order below the threshold for taxation in the destination country. We are unable to split orders into multiple packages so if you do wish to avoid tax you will have to place multiple orders ensuring that each one is below the threshold for taxation in the destination country.
Credit Card Security
Once you enter the area of the site where credit card information has to be submitted you will be transferred to a SECURE server. You will see https:// at the beginning of the web address in your toolbar rather than http:// signifying that the area is secure. You will also see a padlock in the toolbar at the bottom of the browser. These pages are encrypted with 128 bit encryption and are GUARANTEED 100% SECURE. There is no way for a third party to read the information and it can only be decrypted by Leon Paul.
All of our products are guaranteed for 28 days minimum. If a product fails outside this period and you consider it to be sub standard please contact us and we will consider replacing it at no charge. We pride ourselves on the high quality of our equipment and if you feel that anything you receive is not up to the high standards you expect from Leon Paul then please contact us at email@example.com and we will be happy to try to help you.
When considering retuning a pair of shoes please note.
Many fencing shoes are design to protect the area which is damaged when a fencer over lunges and rolls the foot causing the side or upper surface of the shoe to slide across the floor. These protective areas are designed to minimise damage from occasional accidental over extended lunges. Repeated overextended lunges where the side or top of the shoe is dragged along the floor will cause damage to the shoe which is not covered by the warranty.
When considering retuning a bag please note.
When in transit the best way to ensure your bag does not get damaged by airport bag handlers is to take the top bag off and store it inside the bag. It fits neatly inside the smaller weapon compartment. If it does not fit in the bag when you are fully loaded the likelihood is you will be over the maximum weight for the bag so it may get broken in transit and you should check it as 2 separate bags.
Leon Paul is NOT responsible for bags that are damaged by the bag being mistreated. If an airline does break your bag in transit, please claim on your travel insurance or from the airline
Bank and Credit Card charges
The prices on the website are shown in Pounds Sterling below each price is a button for converting this value into any other currency. The conversion is made using the rates from www.xe.com, which is the most widely used internet currency converter. While this rate is usually quite accurate it may vary slightly from the rate you are charged by your bank or credit card issuer; it is therefore recommended that you use this price as a guide only.
Leon Paul do not disclose buyers information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' option.
Leon Paul does not store any of your financial information.
All goods with the exception of items which have had your name stenciled on to them may be returned within 28 days of purchase provided a copy of the receipt is included and the goods are unused. If the wrong size is ordered then exchanges can be made but shipping costs are at the customers expense. Leon Paul can not be held responsible for items lost in transit to us so please ensure you use a secure insured method of delivery.
For returns from outside the UK there may be an import fee (charged by the UK government) for goods being returned to the UK however; this is only incurred if you state the value of the goods being returned. It is very simple to avoid the fee, all returned goods must be clearly marked as RETURNS with a value of less than £20 and they will be exempt from any import charges. Likewise when we despatch exchanges we will mark them as returns to ensure you don't pay any import fees.
Only select naming on your clothing if you are 100% sure that it will fit (ie if you have previously owned the same size in the same range from Leon Paul). All items with names printed can not be returned UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
Please note that very occasionally small amounts of overspray can land on the jacket or lame, This is unusual but unavoidable and when it does happen it washes out within the first couple of washes. We cannot be held responsible for over spray and every effort is made to avoid it.
