V2000 X-Change Foil Mask

The VISION mask was the first transparent mask in the world to be FIE approved and is still recognised as the safest and most durable. The polycarbonate layer has been tested to well in excess of 1600N and in fact is stronger than the mesh itself! The Vision 2000 has several unique features that make it superior to all other visor masks on the market:

• The visor is made from two layers rather than one; an inner polycarbonate layer and an outer scratch layer that is inexpensive and quick to replace. On other visor masks once the polycarbonate (Lexan®) layer is scratched you have to replace it as it is a safety risk and makes it hard to see clearly.
• The visor is 30% larger and has a larger radius of curve than those made by other manufacturers which means you have wider visibility and no distortion. It also means that in sabre you have slightly less target area; no wonder it is the choice of the 6 Olympic medal winning US women’s Sabre team!
• The inner surface of the visor is pre-coated with an anti mist formulation that was designed for use on fighter pilots.
• On the patented X-change® models all of the padding and the bib can be removed and washed or replaced as necessary.
• The scratch layer and visor can easily be changed from the outside which is much easier than fiddling around trying to get access to nuts or screws on the inside of the mask.
• It takes 30 seconds to fit this bib to any existing X-Change® foil or epee mask!
• Made with Lightweight lame with the highest level of conductive silver yarn available anywhere on the market. This material is famed for its durability and longevity. Also the silver content of the lightweight lame gives it natural anti bacterial properties.
• Featuring a fully waterproof lining to ensure that the bib doesn’t get saturated; this prevents your target from creeping up the bib.
• Fully machine washable on a cool or 30 degree c delicate cycle with natural soap powder. This is the only bib on the market that can be removed and machine washed which keeps your bib clean and hygienic.
• The tabs for attachment to the lame are quadruple thickness for added grip and longevity. They are stitched inside the mask to ensure that they lay flat when not in use and are on both sides making the bib ambidextrous.

Our Improved Cooling and Evaporation (ice®) padding is a new shape and a new concept in fencing mask comfort. In the past big soft pillow-like padding that enclosed the head was always considered to be most comfortable; we have turned that tradition on its head.The removal of excess padding unnecessary parts of the bib mean that airflow through the mask has been increased by up to 75% compared to some competitors masks. The ice® padding features memory foam for the crown and chin and grips your head with minimal contact leaving room for air to flow and improving hearing. The padding also features the same signature grey ice® dry layer lining as our top of the line clothing which actively pulls moisture from your skin allowing it to evaporate near the mesh!
