The C.E.N. Performance Level 2 is required for all International and A grade competitions run by the FIE. According to BFA " 800 Newton plastrons will be required for elite (as defined by the International Committee) and British Championships (those events open to Over 16 year olds, excluding the British Intermediate Foil Championships) as of 1 January 2003."
