| Ladies Jackets & Breeches
Please note that our sizes (unlike most high street stores) refer to the actual chest and waist measurements in inches. It is therefore advised that you measure your chest or waist size before ordering (chest size is measured around the fullest part of the chest directly under the arms and waist size is measured just above the hips) rather than using your normal jacket or trouser size. This section also includes naming for jackets and national strip. |

| Ladies Plastrons
Plastrons are designed to help protect the fencer. The idea is that the seams of the plastron and the jacket don't match up. This is to help protect the clothes at the stitching where they are at their most vulnerable. CEN level 1 plastrons are obligatory for all UK children's competitions, and CEN Level 2 FIE approved plastrons are needed to compete in adult events, A-grades or International competitions." |

| Ladies Lame Jackets
The quality of lame clothing has become very variable over recent years, which is due to a proliferation of new manufacturers springing up in Eastern Europe. Some of these new manufacturers sell lame cloth at around half or even a quarter of the price per square meter of the more established producers. Many manufacturers to reduce the cost of their products use this cheap lame but the reduction in cost comes at a price. All of the new cloths tested at Leon Paul have been of inferior quality, they contain less steel threads in the weave and often the metallic elements are thicker making them less flexible and prone to breaking leaving dead spots on the clothing. After extensive testing we at Leon Paul have decided to stick with our tried and tested lame supplier to ensure that our products are of the highest possible quality. We also have a light weight range of lame jackets. This section also includes naming for lames. |
