100% of the cost of entry goes to the event organisers.
There is a £1.99 processing fee called “shipping” for each entry. This fee is to cover the 3.5% bank charge for each credit card transaction, administration time and the cost of posting your invoice which is your ticket both to entrant and to organizer.
The government then charges 20% VAT (this is only charged on the £1.99 processing fee) making a total of £2.38 Compared to the booking fee on many tickets (£5.50 on Ticket Master at the moment) we hope that you agree that the small fee is well worth paying for the convenience and ease of use of the system.
Most organisers will still accept entries by post so if you would rather print out a form and send off a cheque to avoid the processing fee then please contact the organiser.
