At Leon Paul we know that having the right weapon set up to your specifications can make the difference between winning and losing whether you are an Olympian or a beginner. All of our weapons are hand assembled at our own factory in London by one of a team of expert armourers. We offer more options for creating your own electric sabre than ANY other company on the internet; in fact there are more than 500 possible combinations meaning you can get EXACTLY the weapon that is best for your style of fencing. All weapons are tested for compliance with international regulations when they are assembled so they arrive ready to use straight out of the box.

Expand    (1 / 7) Zagunis Pro Sabre Blade    Size 5 More... Mariel Zagunis challenged us to design a blade that was very light and designed for quick controlled hits. We started by modifying our existing chameleon blade. By removing material from parts of the blade and redistributing it towards the fort we have created a fantastic performance blade. A traditional gold coating could have worked well for a 2 x Olympic gold medallist but we wanted to add performance to the blade rather than just to make something easy to advertise. We shock blast the blades by hand which increases the surface density and delays the onset of crack creation in the metal. The blade is then heat treated at 225 degrees for 55 minuets which hardens and releases stress in the steel. The blade end finish is a flat matt bronze in colouring. Expand    (3 / 7) Standard Electric Sabre Guard More... Fully insulated electric Sabre guard. Our most popular Sabre guard, the Hungarian style is now considered the norm. The guard is made from 1.2mm thick hardened aluminium with an additional aluminium reinforcement riveted on where the tang meets the guard. Weight: 117g £15.62 Lightweight Electric Sabre Guard More... Lightweight version of fully insulated S99 guard. It has copper rivets to distinguish it from our standard guard. Leon Paul was the first company to use aircraft grade aluminium alloy to produce lightweight guards. Unlike other lightweight guards ours are heat tempered after forming to give them a hard yet springy quality that gives them their increased durability. Our lightweight Sabre guards are 37% lighter than our standard guards. After testing guard designs made from a single piece of material we have found that after heavy use the guard starts to wear away where it is in contact with the tang of the blade. All our guards are reinforced at the tang with a second layer of aluminium and our lightweight guards have copper rivets to distinguish them from our normal range. Weight: 97g £22.08

The S89 pad is made from special 10mm thick high density impact absorbing foam. The foam is designed to have very good pressure distribution and energy absorption properties.
