The mask uses a stainless steel shell and is fitted with the Leon Paul patented Contour-Fit® system making it significantly lighter and more comfortable. This new design in mask fitting uses a 3 point adjustment system so that the fit can be altered to fit all shapes of head. The shape of the shell conforms to FIE regulations with the front angle less than 130 degrees and the maximum possible depth of shell for added protection. The side pieces of the bib are recessed slightly from the mesh so they are protected from side hits. The cloth lame used to make sabre masks comes in many different qualities and the durability is determined by the number of metal fibers and their thickness. Our Lame is manufactured with the highest density of very small fibres that make it extremely flexible and very durable. Cheaper masks have fewer larger fibres which break leaving dead spots. Also we only use stainless steel Lame as this is the most durable. Some masks uses copper coated thread which go green after a few months and loss conductivity very quickly.

FIE approved maraging blade. Maraging steel is made specially for us in Sheffield and lasts around 5 times longer than the sprung steel of other blades. Supplied fully wired with Leon Paul TiN tip.



Solid Aluminium handle that comes with our Gryptonite crinkle coating for maximum grip,



110 gram, 6mm Threaded pommel, can be tightened with a 6mm or 1/4" allen key This Pommel will provide the perfect counterbalance for a full sized foil. French grip electric Foils come with the insulated version pictured and non-electric Foils come with an uninsulated version.



Fully insulated electric Sabre guard. Our most popular Sabre guard, the Hungarian style is now considered the norm. The guard is made from 1.2mm thick hardened aluminium with an additional aluminium reinforcement riveted on where the tang meets the guard.



With S2000 blades some fencers are having injuries caused by contact with their opponents guard. The S89 pad is made from special 10mm thick high density impact absorbing foam. The foam is designed to have very good pressure distribution and energy absorption properties. Any impact of the thumb against the guard and the force is distributed over a wide area, which dissipates the energy without causing injury.



Bayonet Inside guard socket. Push and twist to lock bayonet design means perfect contact to eliminate white lights. Also it is almost impossible for it to fall out during play. (The system works like a light bulb fitting. To insert the plug you have to push it all the way into the socket and then twist to lock. For the first time in the history of fencing the X-Change system allows you to completely remove the bib in a matter of seconds. The internationally patented X-Change system is a completely new approach to mask design; it allows the inner edge of the bib to be slotted securely into the aluminium extrusion on the mask where it is then locked in place. Our Improved Cooling and Evaporation (ICE) padding is a new shape and a new concept in fencing mask comfort. In the past big soft pillow-like padding that enclosed the head was always considered to be most comfortable; we have turned that tradition on its head and pared the padding to an absolute minimum whilst maintaining comfort. The ICE padding features memory foam for the crown and chin and grips your head with minimal contact leaving room for air to flow and improving hearing.
